Ena Villani Ena Villani is a Neapolitan Painter. She's the only daughter of the renowned Maestro Gennaro Villani. Ena lives and works in Naples, Italy. Her works hang in Museums, such as Capodimonte, the Demaeght in Algeria , and also in various galleries in Italy and overseas. Her mother Elisa Miele was also an artist. Ena won her first award at age seven when she showed her first painting, she was the youngest of a group that included many adults. The critics were entusiastic and wrote excellent reviews in the local papers. Eventually she studied at the Fine Art Academy in Naples, student of Maestro Armando De Stefano and Domenico Spinosa. In l957, still very young, Ena gave her first one woman show in Naples, which was successful both critically and financially. She continued to show her art in all sorts of avenues,selling her paintings to Prime Ministers and various politicians, her paintings are in many public and private collections throughtout Europe and abroad. In 1976 she was honored by the Italian Government with the Star of Chevalier of the Repubblic for artistic merits. Miss Ena Villani specializes in portraits and in this field she has painted very well known faces in the field of the theatre, movies and music. She is often on radio and Tv shows and she is listed in the Dictionary of the History of Southern Italy and other important publications. Ena is also a poet and writes travel articles which she illustrates personally. Her writings are published in many trade magazine and also the Internet. Her paintings are on load at the Church of St. Peter's and in the Capodimonte Basilica in Naples.
